FAQS

Is Organizational Advocacy right for you? Check out these FAQs below to see if you’re ready to take the step to increase the equity and empowerment for all identities at your organization.

Who does organizational advocacy work best for?

Any team can participate in organizational advocacy, however it works best for teams who already have experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. OA is designed to produce actionable change so we are excited to work with clients who are ready to make concrete adjustments to their approach to work. We currently have the infrastructure to support organizations of 1-250 employees, but if your organization exceeds this limit, feel free to reach out to discuss additional options.

What is the difference between organizational advocacy and typical DEI consulting ?

The biggest difference between organizational advocacy and traditional DEI consulting is the level of candor from our team and the level of responsibility from the client. We aim to be as honest as possible with our clients about the most impactful solutions for all those on their teams, but specifically BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other underrepresented folks. Keeping this value at the center of our work will generate courageous conversations and leadership responsibilities that will result in a stronger impact for your people and your business.

Will you change everything about our organization?

No, your organization’s future is your responsibility! We will provide recommendations for strategic changes, and potentially assist with implementation if desired, but the work and responsibility will stay with you. We are your coach, your champion, and your cheerleader, but ultimately you are on the field and the future of your organization is in your hands.

So, why should we choose organizational advocacy?

Maybe you’ve read the books, gone to the trainings, joined the employee resource group and it still doesn’t feel like enough. Maybe you’re just getting started with your business and want to make sure your systems reflect the work culture you want to create. Maybe you need someone in your corner helping you think of creative, equitable solutions to the problems arising on your team. Organizational advocacy is heart-centered, mindfulness-driven, and designed to push companies into the future, rather than simply responding to the present. If you’re ready to be at the forefront of change, instead of the back end, then organizational advocacy is for you. Join us!
